Serving the Community

Donate to the Peel Community Kitchen

Feed the homeless, elderly pensioners, families & unemployed

Why are we collecting funds?

The Peel Community Kitchen is a registered Not for Profit Charity Organisation. Our aim is to make a difference to the lives of the less fortunate members of our local community. We provide a desperately needed support to the homeless, unemployed, elderly pensioners and families living below the poverty line.

Our focus is to provide nutritious meals, hot and cold beverages, free fruit and bread and social companionship in a non-judgemental environment.

We serve 500 people per week between the hours of 9:30am and 1pm Monday to Friday at the Council Hall in Gibson and Sutton Street, Mandurah, Western Australia and these numbers continue to grow. We also offer referrals to other agencies within our region.

Our meals cost us about $3.50 each to prepare, but yet we charge only a nominal 50cents.

This means that we have a shortfall of around $80,000 to fund each year.

We run some local fundraisers, but mostly we rely on the generosity of the local community and businesses to donate funds to our charitable cause, delivered by the untiring team of our 40+ volunteers that give of their time on a regular basis.
